Human Monsters

            For this week’s sound effect experiment, I did some reading on the creation of monster sounds.  One of the most interesting things I saw was that we’re running out of ideas for new sounding monsters.  This is mostly because we’ve recycled and reused all the growling and screaming of animals that we can.  A little tip I saw was try creating something new with your own voice and sweeten it a little with animals and effects.  In keeping with my theme of incorporating my musical background into my sound effects, I immediately looked into metal vocalists.  I have attached a song from one of my own bands in order to stay away from any copyright laws, but I think it is a great example of the range of the human voice and the sounds that we can make naturally without any effects.
